Beginners
New Horizons Band DuPage believes it's never too late to toot your own horn! The Beginner band, NHBe One, provides an entry point to making music for active adults and seniors, including those with limited or no musical experience at all. Members learn to read music and play a musical instrument. The Intermediate band, NHB Too, continues the musical journey. Every person has musical potential that can be developed to a level that will be personally rewarding. Beginner and Intermediate classes start in September and January.
New Horizons Band DuPage offers the option of registering for beginner and intermediate classes through the Naperville Park District. Each participant registered through the Park District, then rents or borrows the band instrument of his or her choice. With the director's approval, re-learners may opt to skip NHBe One and start with NHB Too.
