Beginners

New Horizons Band DuPage believes it's never too late to toot your own horn! The Beginner band, NHBe One, provides an entry point to making music for active adults and seniors, including those with limited or no musical experience at all. Members learn to read music and play a musical instrument. The Intermediate band, NHB Too, continues the musical journey. Every person has musical potential that can be developed to a level that will be personally rewarding. Classes start in September and January every year.

New Horizons Band DuPage offers the option of registering for classes through the Naperville Park District. Each participant registered through the Park District, then rents or borrows the band instrument of his or her choice. Re-learners may opt to skip NHBe One, start with NHB Too, or jump right in to the concert band.
