Concert Band
The New Horizons Concert Band consists of older adult musicians from DuPage, Cook, Will, Kane and Kendall counties. The concert band rehearses once a week on Mondays in the early evenings. The band performs a mix of traditional band music, lighter transcriptions, marches, show tunes and popular selections. Currently in its 22nd year, the New Horizons DuPage concert band is comprised of learners (beginners), re-learners (those who went on to different careers and are returning to music after a long hiatus), musicians who are learning a new instrument different than the one they played in earlier years, as well as musicians of varying degrees of musicianship.
